Youngsters still Boga’s shining lights

YOUNG players including Jackson Holt, Matt Pickering and Brodie Bennett continue to be shining lights for Lake Boga in a tough season.

Last week they were again among Boga’s best and put in solid performance despite a lopsided scoreline against Woorinen, coach Liam Richmond said.

“I thought our first half last week was some of the best footy we’ve played but we just didn’t have the firepower to go with them after half time,” he said.

Richmond said he was wary of talking about Boga as favourites to enjoy a big win against the Roos.

“I haven’t spoken about it. I don’t want them to go into the game thinking that’s the way it’s going to happen,” he said.

“We want to play it on our own terms and not worry about the scoreboard.”

TIP: Lake Boga by 87 points.
