Swans too polished for Dees

SWAN Hill ran the game out easy winners over Nyah Nyah West United.

In the final analysis the Swans were just a little more polished than the host club that suffered from a lack of height and experience.

The catalyst that made a difference in favour of the Swans was the absolute dominance of Callan Beasy in the ruck who won almost all the big man duels giving his runners in skipper Xavier Moloney and Justin Davies first use on most occasions.

At ground level the contest was relatively even with the Demons being well served by Matt Duffy who turned in a blinder to be easily the home sides best but he did get some support from recruits Charles McAdam and Morris Kapun both of whom will be welcome additions to the Demon side but neither of those will solve the Demons big man deficiencies.

The Demon faithful are pinning their hopes on the imminent arrival of the legendary Darryl White who may bring his usual entourage of capable footballers.

The Swans looked much better organised this game and they may have unearthed a forward target in youngster Arnold Kirby who played three quarters of good football to grab a personal tally of four majors, two of which were long kicks from outside the 50m arc.
