FRIDAY

6pm: Official opening of On Paper On Country at Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery. In On Paper discover some of the extraordinary ways paper is used by visual artists in the permanent collection. See how texture, weight, flexibility and other qualities influence and inspire artistic responses. Get busy making, shaping, folding and painting in the studio gallery. There is something for all to do. On Country celebrates NAIDOC Week with works from the permanent collection. From the intricacies of traditional weaving to ceramics, etchings paintings and printmaking, On Country is a fascinating collection of finest First Nations artists’ works from our region and beyond.

7pm: Movie night at Lake Boga Flying Boat Museum. Comedy/drama June Again. Bring supper to share. Gold coin donation.

7pm-11pm: Live music at Tooleybuc Sporting Club featuring That Guy.

Evening: Live music at Swan Hill Club featuring No Banana Ruby.


SATURDAY

8am: Lake Boga Foreshore parkrun.

All day: Central Murray league Round 11. Mallee Eagles v Woorinen, Swan Hill v Koondrook- Barham, NNWUnited v Tyntynder, Cohuna v Balranald, Kerang v Lake Boga. Tooleybuc-Manangatang has the bye.


TUESDAY

9.30am: Social bowls at Nyah. Names in by 9.30am for 10am start. Cost is $10 per person. Includes light lunch and good fun for about three hours.

10am-5.30pm: School holiday activities at Swan Hill Regional Library. Creation station is free and suitable for children of all ages. Set up in the children’s area of the library for the duration of the school holidays. Children can draw, cut, paste, construct, colour-in, complete activity booklets and make all sorts of creations using recycled items including wool, material, coloured paper and more.

10am-11am: School holiday activity at Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery. Layered 3D pattern landscape. Suitable for primary-aged children. Cost is $5. Bookings essential, phone or email artgal@swanhill.vic.gov.au


WEDNESDAY

7pm: Swan Hill Parkinson’s Peer Support Group trivia night at Swan Hill Club. Cost is $10 entry. Tables of 10 – bring a team or join a table. Family-friendly and raffle on the night worth $1000.


THURSDAY

10am-11am: School holiday activity at Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery. Creative critters oil pastel pet portraits. Suitable for primary-aged children. They’ll need to bring a photo of their pet or favourite animal to draw. Cost is $5. Bookings essential, phone or email artgal@swanhill.vic.gov.au


ALL MONTH

Until July 7: River Lights at Pioneer Settlement. The new River Lights experience can be enjoyed at your own pace taking about 45 to 75 minutes. Food trucks and face painting available. Tickets can be purchased online through trybooking. Adults $12.50, child 4-16 years $7.50, family (two adults and two children) $29, children under 4 years free. With companion card, free of charge. Arrive up to 10 minutes before your session to ease waiting times.
