Enjoy Family Care barbecue

BALRANALD families are encouraged to attend a free community barbecue and playgroup session later this month.

Hosted by Mallee Family Care the event will take place from 11am to 1:30pm on February 26 at Greenham Park Hall, Church St.

Residents can enjoy a free meal while meeting with the Mallee family care staff to learn more about the various services, programs and resources that are available to Balranald families.

From playgroups, parenting groups, first aid courses and referrals this event will be informative and interactive.

A special playgroup session for families with children aged 0-6 years old will also be held, offering parents an opportunity to learn about the regular playgroup programs planned for 2025.

Team leader of Child and Family Services NSW, Ashlee James said it will be a great opportunity for families to get familiar with the services available to them.

“We encourage people to come along and talk to our staff,” she said.

“Previously we have hosted similar events, and we have had great turnouts.

“We did this barbecue last year, and we look forward to hosting it again this year.

“We would like to bring the community out and bring them together for this so they can see and learn what services are available to them.

“It will be an informative and in-depth event where people are encouraged to ask questions and get involved.

“It’ll be a good opportunity for people to learn and see what we do.

“We are community oriented, and this is a great way for people to meet us and see how they can get what they need.”

Mallee Family Care encourages all families to attend, whether they are looking for support, community connection, or simply a fun day out.
