TRACEY Thompson has worked as a retail employee at Swan Hill Wholesalers for the past eight years.
She said she enjoyed working for the family-run business.
“They are awesome people to work for,” Ms Thompson said.
Utilising her retail experience, Ms Thompson said every day was different.
“It’s a varied position. You never know what’s going to happen,” she said.
With Easter fast approaching, Ms Thompson said they were gearing up for a busy time of year with customers taking the opportunity to stock up on seafood during this period.
“Our oysters and prawns are very popular,” she said.
Ms Thompson said she enjoyed the customer-focused role.
“I like helping people out,” she said.
Her other duties include ensuring the freezers are all working, stocking shelves, preparing customer orders and ordering stock.
She said a highlight was also moving to the new purpose-built facility at Karinie Street and getting to know the regular customers.
“I love it,” she said.
