Police beat May 27

Knives seized

A DRIVER has been charged after allegedly being in possession of multiple knives and drugs.

Police said a 55-year-old male driver was intercepted on the Murray Valley Highway just after midnight on May 23.

He was found in possession of knives and a substance believed to be cannabis.

They also found that the driver was unlicensed. He was arrested, charged and bailed to attend court at a later date.

Teen caught

A TEENAGER will face a date with court after allegedly setting a car on fire in Ultima.

Police said about 3am on May 18, CFA attended an address in Ultima where they found a car on fire.

The fire was deemed suspicious and police later attended.

The following day a male youth was arrested, charged and bailed to court at a later date.

Handbag theft

POLICE are investigating the alleged theft of a handbag from a vehicle parked in Robinvale.

Some time between 4pm on May 12 and 4pm on May 17, the handbag went missing.

It’s unclear where the theft occurred as the vehicle had been in multiple locations.

Unpaid fuel

FUEL was allegedly stolen from a Robinvale service station last week.

The driver left the station without paying for more than $100 worth of fuel.

It happened between 7am and 8am on May 17.

Tyre pressure gauge stolen

A TYRE pressure gauge was allegedly stolen from a vehicle parked in Robinvale last week.

Police said some time between noon on May 20 and 4pm the following day, offenders gained entry to a vehicle parked in Latje Road.

Missing machinery

A PIECE of machinery was allegedly stolen from a Robinvale property last week.

A purpose-built machine for removing plastic covers from vines went missing from a Happy Valley Road property, between 4pm on May 16 and 9am the following day.

Town fire

RESIDENTS have ben warned not to start fires in the Swan Hill township, after authorities were called to a small fire.

Police and CFA attended a property on Wanera Street, where they found a pile of dead shrubbery on fire.

The fire was extinguished and police attended and spoke to the owner of the property to ensure that they were aware that no fires could be lit in the town.
