Police investigating Campbell Street crash

POLICE are continuing to investigate a single-vehicle crash in Swan Hill last Thursday in which a Holden Commodore crashed into the front of Swan Hill Resort Motor Inn.

A police spokesperson said the car was travelling along Campbell Street, near the intersection of Curlewis Street, when the driver lost control about 10.15am.

They said the 20-year-old driver was taken to hospital for observation and that no one else was injured during the incident.

CFA 1st Lieutenant Harold Jochs said his team of eight CFA members and four SES members were on site to pry the vehicle bonnet open to isolate the battery.

“Police and ambulance were already on site, and I’d like to remind the public that when emergency services at visible drivers should be slowing down to 40km/h to keep everyone safe,” Lt Jochs said.

Any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
