RAIDERS RECRUITING COUP

KOONDROOK-BARHAM will have two new faces running around next season, with a couple of experienced acquisitions set to join the club.

Josh Hale, who has spent most of his career playing seniors with Westmeadows in the Essendon District Football League, will add depth to the River Raiders key defensive stocks, having spent most of his career playing either at centre half back or in the ruck.

The other key signing is that of Tom Peterson, who will add further depth to Koondrook-Barham’s midfield as either a defensive run with player, or a hard running midfielder.

Joining Hale and Peterson at the Raiders next year will be Max Baldissera and Jack Shannon, after both players re-signed for 2022.DOGS ADD MORE MIDFIELD BITE

TYNTYNDER have continued their early season recruiting spree, adding another two potential senior footballers to their list in recent days.

Ultima’s Andrew Bennett and Ben Hallam, who was recruited from Imperials in the Sunraysia Football League, will join the Doggies in 2022 under new coach Josh Stone.

Bennett, an inside midfielder, which add further depth to the Tyntynder engine room, while Hallam, has spent the last six years playing senior football at Imperials, is expected to play a more outside midfield role.

TIGERS RE-SIGN

WOORINEN have continued to lock away a large portion of the 2021 squad for next season, with another six senior players from re-committing to the club in recent days.

Premiership players Matt Iannucci, Robert Miller and Lachlan Gardner have all signed on for next season, as the Tigers look to stay in the premiership hunt.

Joining the premiership trio in re-signing is Regan Vesty, who played all bar one senior game this season, as well as the Colts League Best & Fairest from this season in Matt Gardner and Tigers young gun Robert Rush.
