Fifth Covid case in Mildura revealed

THE Victorian Health Department has revealed a new case of COVID-19 has been found in Mildura, taking the city’s active cases to five.

It’s understood the new case is a household contact of the Mildura man who tested positive after returning from an AFL game at the MCG on July 10.

Health Minister Martin Foley has told reporters the new case was in quarantine while infectious.

The state’s lockdown was lifted overnight, but restrictions remain in place in how businesses can reopen.

Masks also remain compulsory indoors and outdoors.
