A PERSON in Swan Hill was coaxed into handing over more than $15,000 to a person pretending to be a Telstra technician.

Swan Hill police Leading Senior Constable Tania Peters said on September 29 the victim was sent numerous text messages and received calls from the person before withdrawing and handing over the cash to a male who went to their home.Ute with personal plates stolen

A BLACK utility with personalised numberplates has reportedly been stolen from a Chapman Street address in Swan Hill.

Leading Sen-Constable Tania Peters said the 2008 model Holden was taken about 4.30am on October 9. Items stolen from vehicles.

ITEMS were taken from an unlocked utility on Butterworth Street, Swan Hill, between 10pm on October 4 and 6.45am the following day.

In a separate incident, about 3am the following day, the owner of a vehicle parked on Douglas Avenue noticed someone had accessed their unlocked vehicle.Stolen ute located

POLICE have located an abandoned vehicle taken from an address in Swan Hill.

Leading Sen-Constable Tania Peters said the vehicle was taken from Sea Lake-Swan Hill Road about 2am on October 5.

Police sighted the vehicle and found it abandoned a short time later on Nyah Road in Swan Hill.Robinvale house fire

A HOME in Robinvale has been extensively damaged by fire.

The Parke Street home caught fire about 10.30pm on October 7.

The fire is not being treated as suspicious.
