Showbiz Cinemas ready for school holidays

SHOWBIZ Cinemas Swan Hill is back in the business of providing school holiday fun, recovering after the latest round of Covid restrictions.

“We have been extremely pleased that the current restrictions were eased in regional Victoria as we had a number of new and previously delayed major film releases opening,” director Andrew Taylor said.

“So we were delighted that we could re-open after only the single week of being closed, with restrictions since then being lifted further.”

Mr Taylor said he was very confident there would be solid business trading levels during the current school holidays.

“And we have had very strong business in the past three weeks, all due to the new films releasing,” he said.

But even with restrictions easing, Mr Taylor said Showbiz Cinemas had a comprehensive CovidSafe plan to ensure best practice for customers and staff.

“We use the state government’s QR check-in code, which we have also added to the pre-show in each session,” Mr Taylor said.

In addition to this, the QR code is displayed on each cinema screen.

“We also have maintained all customer booking information and where they have sat when attending our cinemas as a back-up system,” he said.

“We have a dedicated cleaning regime throughout the entire complex, which involves detailing and sanitation after every cinema session has been completed.

“All our staff have undergone mandatory CovidSafe and infection control training via our training system.

“We also look to deliberately schedule our movie sessions to spread out the volume of customers present within the building at any one time.”

“This is always under constant review as our cinema session schedule changes every week.”

Films currently screening include Fast and Furious 9, In the Heights, and The Conjuring 3.
