NANCY Mullarvey was just 12 when young love took over her life.
What she didn’t expect next was that love would become a service to Australia.
Today, the 95-year-old couldn’t fault Legacy.
“We wouldn’t be here, we would not be here and they are very good,” she told The Guardian.
Legacy is a unique Australian tradition which was born out of the trenches of World War One where a promise was made to a dying mate that “someone would look after the misses and kids”.
This week marks Legacy Week, which aims to build the awareness about the importance of Legacy’s work in the community.
