Woman slapped multiple times across face

Assault at business

A WOMAN was allegedly slapped across the face multiple times in a brutal assault at a Nyah West business last week.

Police said the altercation happened about 6pm on June 28.

A 37-year-old female and 44-year-old male were having a verbal dispute when the male slapped the female across the face more than once.

The male was interviewed by police and is expected to appear in court at a later date.

Road rage attack

POLICE are investigating an alleged violent road rage incident in Swan Hill on June 29.

Police said shortly before 6pm on June 29, the victim was driving south on Woorinen Road when he was tailgated by a white Holden Rodeo ute.

Both vehicles eventually stopped and the occupants of the tailgating vehicle got out and assaulted the driver.

They took the car keys, a mobile phone and cigarettes from the victim, later throwing back the phone and car keys.

Tractor thief flees

POLICE are investigating the alleged theft of a tractor from a Nyah West property earlier this week.

Offenders entered the P0ira Road property about 5am on July 1 and stole a tractor.

The owner was woken by his dogs barking and gave chase.

The owner located the tractor dumped on Willoughby Road.

The owner and police patrolled the area but were unable to locate the offender.

Back at the property, a white Ford Falcon sedan was located. It was towing a box trailer. It was discovered that this vehicle had been stolen from the Gunbower area.

Stolen car found

A VEHICLE stolen in Vinifera was found 250km away in Shepparton.

Police said some time between 6am and 10am on July 1, offenders entered a a home in Hungerford Lane, Vinifera.

“They have removed car keys and stolen a red Hyundai sedan,” a police spokesperson said.

The vehicle was located in the Shepparton area on July 4.

Thieves target trailer

WIRING on tractors were allegedly damaged and a trailer stolen by offenders at a Woorinen South property.

Offenders entered the Barry Road property between 3am and 5am on July 1.

They damaged the wiring on tractors before stealing a trailer and water pressure unit.

The trailer was found in Vinifera later that morning.
