THREE local netballers have been selected to participate in the Netball Victoria Talent Academy in 2022.
Lake Boga’s Milla Holt, the Mallee Eagles’ Neveah Roberts and Wandella’s Bainli Galway have been successful in earning a place following a competitive trial process.
Congratulations also to Cohuna Kangas’ Remy Doyle and Makayla Heap, Swan Hill’s Tess Meney and Murrabit’s Imogen Cummins for their participation in the trial.
SWAN Hill senior netballer Arlee Bennett also continues to shine on the court, having been selected in the top-50 squad for the U17 Victorian state team.
Bennett last year was selected as an emergency for the state under-18s girls’ basketball team as a bottom-aged team member, and has also participated in the Victorian basketball state development program.
WOORINEN Football and Netball Club are celebrating after being announced as the 2021 Central Murray Football Netball champion club.
This prize sponsored by G.J. Gardner Homes Australia recognises performance on and off court (and field).
In football, the Woorinen team were tied first on 36 points with the Cohuna Kangas after a strong season, while the netballers were not quite able to top the ladder, they would have progressed to finals had they been held.
