Victorian greyhounds in safe hands

A GREYHOUND breeder believes former New South Wales Premier Mike Baird’s decision to threaten the industry was a “serious misjudgment”, swaying public opinion against the politician further.

Baird infamously banned greyhound racing in NSW in July after controversy surrounding live baiting.

He backflipped and reverse his decision in October.

Norm Smith said he thought Baird was a good premier up until that point, but the greyhound industry debacle will be looked upon negatively as he enters political retirement.

“He just made a serious misjudgment of what people thought and he was given seriously wrong information,” Mr Smith told The Guardian.
