No time to rest on laurels for Crameri

A proactive approach to promoting Swan Hill as a destination for new investment and business development will go a long way to making the city a regional destination, according to the city’s new economic and community development manager.

Emma Crameri joined Swan Hill council just over a month ago and already has her sights on closing gaps in growing industry sectors.

She will oversee the community planning team, recreational officer, economic development team and regional information centre.

“We are about looking at being proactive instead of waiting for someone to call us. We need to go out and see what gaps we currently have,” she said.

“For example, we have land under-utilised that a business could best use.”

And while they are different departments by name, Ms Crameri told The Guardian there were synergies between them.
