SEVERAL primary schools in the region now have access to state -of-the-art video
conferencing technology.
‘Polycom’, funded by the state government, will be
used in schools to communicate, learn and share with others outside the
classroom.
Lake Boga Primary School is one the 75 primary schools in the
state to receive the technology.
Principal Janine Barnes said the school was
thrilled about the announcement and couldn’t wait to make use of it.
“We are
excited that this has become available to us. The benefits of this are just
endless, for both students and teachers,” she said.
“This will give us the
opportunity to access a range of educational services and we will be exploring
all possible options involved in video conferencing.
“We aim to engage the
students in virtual classrooms with other schools and their students.”
