Wheels in motion for Robinvale rally

PREPARATIONS are underway in the lead-up to next year’s motorhome rally at
Robinvale.

Organised by the Campervan and Motorhome Club of Australia (CMCA),
the event is expected to attract around 1000 motorhomes to the
region.

Robinvale rally manager Ray Jones said the upcoming event had the
potential to inject more than $2 million into the local economy.

“After
attending a rally in Kalgoorlie three years ago I saw the economic community
benefit and approached the CMCA board of directors to consider Robinvale for a
rally,” Mr Jones said.

After selling the region to the board of directors, Mr
Jones and his committed team of volunteers will now have the opportunity to
showcase the region to CMCA members.

With a membership base of 75,000
extending across 97 chapters within Australia, the seven-day event will mark the
first of its kind within the Swan Hill Rural City Council local government
area.
