Aussie Mozzies up the ante

IT WAS a great morning for tennis in Swan Hill and all players took advantage of this in fair, competitive game-play.

Each group had outstanding results and many players are sure to move up ranks in the coming weeks.

Many players in the Aussie Mozzies upped their game on Saturday.

Quite a few players had opponents that were simply too strong.

The best singles match of the day was won by Charlotte Angus 6-0.

She was serving and playing superbly. Best players were Kate Gillingham, James Russo, Jude Seymour and Charlotte Angus.

The Stosur group got bigger with the arrivals of Josie Glowery and Bella Howison.

Two tie-breakers existed for the day with Grace Scott sided with Pippa Lewis and Chloe Garvie with Sophie Brumby coming out victorious.

The top players from last week were Grace Scott, Bella Howison and Jasmine Martin.

In Tomic, tiebreakers seemed to be a popular way to end to a match as more than 10 were played throughout the groups.

Dustin Burns and Dallas Glowery competed against each other for the day and participated in three tiebreakers.

Burns won two out of three and was the overall winner.

Campbell Kelly, Noah Simmons and Mackenzie Kelly came out on top.

Wozniacki girls are improving with every week as shown in the assortment of matches.

A close doubles match was between Abby Morrison with Meg Hogan against Greta Sherlock and Hannah Wright.

Hard, well-placed shots saw Morrison and Hogan win the tiebreaker.
