TWO people have been charged with drug-related offences following a routine vehicle inspection.
During a vehicle interception in Beveridge Street on Monday, police allege they found a quantity of cannabis, prompting the arrest of two men.
The driver of the vehicle, a 37-year-old male, was charged with possession and drug use and has been bailed to appear before the Swan Hill Magistrates Court on May 1. The second occupant was charged with drug use.
Swan Hill Police Sergeant Scott Bastow said the third person in the car, a 36-year-old female, was arrested on suspision of theft by deception from a motel in Kerang, to the value of $1400. She was later released while police continued their investigations.
