MORE than 100 Christmas trees of all shapes and sizes decked the
(town) hall on Friday night for the Forest of Christmas Trees charity auction.
The auction provided a fitting climax to this year’s Forest of Christmas
Trees Exhibition, with all trees sold to enthusiastic bidders.
The wire tree frames were brought to
life by a range of community groups, school groups and individuals from across
the local region.
District Committee for the Ageing president Margaret
Schintler, who has co-organised event with the Swan Hill Rural City Council, said she was
thoroughly impressed by the range of ideas and techniques used to decorate the
wire frames that provide a base structure for the trees.
