Moser a council election contender

LAWRENCE Moser has become the next candidate to put his hand up for a seat on Swan Hill Rural City Council.

Mr Moser, a Swan Hill local, said his decision to run in October’s local government election followed numerous requests from community members.

“I’ve had a number of people say to me I should run for council and I’ve taken it sort of tongue-in-cheek a little bit, but towards the end of last year and certainly this year people have been seriously saying to me: ‘Would you consider standing for council?’

“Obviously people think I’ve got something to offer, so I’ve bitten the bullet and said I’ll give it a go.”

If elected to council, Mr Moser said he would advocate on behalf of locals in areas such as mental health.
