Colour to unite participants

Swan Hill will be injected with pink, orange, green and blue when the Colour Your Run returns next month.

Now in its fourth year, the event will be held at Riverside Park on Sunday, April 9.

Registrations are now open to people of all ages and fitness levels.

Colour Your Run chairperson Yvonne Jennings said the event was always very exciting for those that took part.

“It’s quite spectacular,” Ms Jennings said.

“It really is a great community event.”

This year, money raised through the event will go to the Swan Hill Hospice and Swan Hill Has Heart, which will distribute the funds to mental health services for young people though the Swan Hill Sunrise Rotary Club.

“Last year we had 1200 people run in the event,” she said.

“We raised $21,000 for the hospice which went towards training their new staff members.”
