OUTGOING Swan Hill councillor Michael Adamson hopes younger councillors will contest local government elections later this year to inject fresh blood into the council.
Cr Adamson announced his resignation from Swan Hill Rural City Council on Thursday, five months before Victorian local government elections.
Speaking to The Guardian after his resignation, which will take effect at the end of this month, the former mayor praised Swan Hill’s potential and dropped some hints as to who he would like to see contest the October election.
He listed the highlights of his three-and-a-half year term and acknowledged there were some areas he would have liked to have seen progress further.
