QUESTIONS continue to swirl around the Ashley Madison hack, and the controversy has been brought closer to home following Fairfax Media’s analysis of last week’s leaked data.
On Wednesday hackers released a large cache of data from the extra-marital affair website to the dark web, comprising the identity of millions of registered users by disclosing credit card details, email accounts and home addresses.
An interactive Fairfax map charting the leaked data against Australian postal areas shows 357 accounts registered under the 3585 postcode.
The map draws on the location supplied by the user when signing up to Ashley Madison, and includes casual visitors to the site as well as fully paid up members.
However, if Fairfax are correct, Swan Hill is far from the most adulterous area in Australia.
