Trio’s Games swim

THREE Swan Hill swimmers will compete at the ninth Pacific School Games in November.

The international event will feature up to 12 national squads, with Harliai Curthoys-Davies, Emily Kearns and Claire Barr to take to the water for their schools.

To be held in Adelaide, the event will be Curthoys-Davies’ third consecutive selection for Team Vic.

The St Mary MacKillop College student will be joined this year by Kearns and Barr, who represent St Mary’s Primary School and Swan Hill Specialist School respectively.

Curthoys-Davies will compete in Under 12s events, while Kearns will swim in the Under 10s program and Barr will race in the 13-15 years section.

Kearns has been selected for two individual events and four relays, while Barr will compete in two individual events and three relays. Curthoys-Davies will swim in five singular races and four relays.

The Pacific School Games is an international school sport championship.

It provides opportunities for around 4000 school-aged students to participate in nine different sports.

Students aged 10-19 will compete in swimming, diving, basketball, touch football, baseball, softball, soccer, table tennis and goalball programs.
