MORE than 200 people gathered at Lake Boga’s Catalina Park for the Anzac Day memorial service.
The ceremony began with the consecration of the brand new cenotaph and among the locals there to witness it were a few members from the Freemasons.
Visiting from Bendigo was Freemasons Foundation representative Andre Clayton, who said the Freemasons were immensely proud to be able to contribute to the funding of the cenotaph.
“I’m more than happy to come up and have a look at it, it’s fantastic,” Mr Clayton said.

“[The Lions] have done a fantastic job of getting it in place for the 100th anniversary.”
Jim Thompson from the Swan Hill Masonic Lodge said the two Masonic Lodges in the area, Tresco and Swan Hill, combined efforts to be able to help fund the cenotaph.
Many proud parents were also in the crowd at the service, eagerly watching their children participate in the ceremony.
The Lake Boga Primary School students were a large part of the memorial service, with several students contributing readings and anecdotes.
