LOCAL lady Michelle Boxall has kept a promise to shave her head after reaching
her goal of raising $2000 for Cancer Network Australia.
Over the past few
months, Ms Boxall has put in her all, and made the effort to fundraise money for
the charity when she found out a dear friend was suffering from
cancer.
Organising several events, raffles and dropping in collection tins to
many stores around the region, Ms Boxall said she was thrilled she had finally
reached her goal.
Most worried about how her young son would take seeing her
with a shaved head, Ms Boxall said she was relieved that “he handled it very
well”.”He was interested in watching and was not upset at all,” she
said.
