BUNNINGS has responded to reports it is seeking a site for a warehouse in Swan Hill, confirming the town is an “area of interest”.
Rumours that the home improvement company, which is part of the Wesfarmers group, has been seeking a site in Swan Hill have been circulating for some months.
Bunnings’ chief operating officer Peter Davis responded to The Guardian’s request for confirmation of the company’s plans with the following statement.
“Swan Hill remains an area of interest for Bunnings and we would consider opening a store there in the future if the right opportunity becomes available.
“Bunnings has a strong pipeline of Victorian stores and we continue to actively seek new sites as part of an ongoing network expansion strategy which has been in place for more than a decade.”
