AN up-and-coming Go Kart driver has taken a giant leap towards turning out on the V8 Supercar circuit after announcing he has secured a sponsorship deal with JMD Motorsport and Engineering.

Coady Gorringe, 14, had an up and down year on the track in 2016 after some engine troubles, but did enough to get back and run some good laps towards the end of the year.

He caught the eye of his new sponsors around the circuit and JMD Motorsport and Engineering team principle Matt De Stefano said their decision to back the Swan Hill resident was down to his ability to learn and take in all the technical aspects of the sport.
