A RESIDENT living near the intersection of Rutherford, Everingham and High streets has expressed concern over the potential for an accident to occur there.
He says the layout of the intersection is such that any traffic travelling south along High Street suffers poor visibility approaching the intersection due to the parking on Rutherford Street.
“The cars are parked so close to the corner and the way the intersection was constructed is such that you need to move into the middle of Rutherford Street to check for traffic travelling east on Rutherford Street,” he said.
“It’s not a matter of if there’s an accident, it’s a matter of when.”
However, Member for Road Safe Central Murray and Swan Hill councillor Les McPhee said it was the first complaint he had received about the intersection.
