Central Murray Football – The Run Home

1st – Woorinen

Played – 15, Wins – 14, Losses – 1, Points – 56, Percentage – 272.84

Round 18 – v Tooleybuc-Manangatang @ Home

Hard to believe that a team who has lost just one game for the season is still not absolutely guaranteed to finish on top of the ladder. Won’t want to take Tooleybuc-Manangatang lightly, with the Saints having won their past four matches and playing for their season on Saturday.

2nd – Cohuna Kangas

Played – 15, Wins – 13, Losses – 2, Points – 52, Percentage – 261.88

Round 18 – v Lake Boga @ Home

Can still pinch top spot and a direct path to the second semi-final, but will need Tooleybuc-Manangatang to upset Woorinen and also beat Lake Boga by 70 plus points to make up the difference in percentage. Will more than likely be playing the Mallee Eagles next weekend, but it’s certainly not impossible.

3rd – Mallee Eagles

Played – 15, Wins – 12, Losses – 3, Points – 48, Percentage – 284.84

Round 18 – v Tyntynder @ Away

The Eagles are locked into a top three finish and depending on Saturday’s results, will most likely play the Cohuna Kangas in next Saturday’s qualifying final. Have the best percentage in the league this season, which should only improve after Saturday’s final round match against the Bulldogs.

4th – NNW United

Played – 16, Wins – 11, Losses – 5, Points – 44, Percentage – 143.92

Round 18 – Bye

Have completed their home-and-away campaign locked into fourth spot, with the Demons unable to move up or down. Will anxiously await Saturday’s results to see whether it is Tooleybuc-Manangatang or Koondrook-Barham they will face in the elimination final, with Saturday’s final round bye giving the Demons the perfect freshen up ahead of a difficult finals campaign.

5th – Tooleybuc-Manangatang

Played – 15, Wins – 9, Losses – 6, Points – 36, Percentage – 113.97

Round 18 – v Woorinen @ Away

Last Saturday’s six-point win over Koondrook-Barham means the Saints’ destiny is in their own hands, but they are far from locked in and secure in the top five. A win over the Tigers Saturday is the only way to guarantee themselves a finals berth, with a loss leaving them vulnerable to the Raiders.

6th – Koondrook-Barham

Played – 15, Wins – 8, Losses – 7, Points – 32, Percentage – 102.28

Round 18 – v Swan Hill @ Home

Come into the match on the back of a three-game losing streak and will kick themselves if they miss out on a finals berth after having opportunities to win all three matches. Need Tooleybuc-Manangatang to lose to Woorinen on Saturday, but just as importantly, need to defeat Swan Hill by a margin in the vicinity of 140 points.
