Church notes

Anglican

WE will celebrate Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem on Sunday.

Crowds waved palm branches to welcome Jesus as He entered the city, so we, too, will be surrounded by palms at Church and receive blessed palm crosses for the year ahead.

The palm Cross represents Jesus’ triumph over death to bring eternal life and a reminder of his love for us.

Palm Sunday is the beginning of Holy Week, leading to Good Friday and Easter Day.

During the week, there will be a worship opportunity every day, of various types and at various times so that people may find a time that suits them.

Details are on the church doors.

Grain Shed

SCHOOL holidays are just around the corner, which means a lot of our in-house activities will be taking a break, and with Easter a week away, a reminder that here at the Grain Shed, there will be a Good Friday service at 10am and Easter Sunday service at 10am.

Please invite family/friends to join us as we celebrate all that Jesus did for us and what it means to us.

Grain Shed youth meet this Friday night at 7pm to end Term 1. Lots of fun, games, good food, and encouragement as they learn more about Jesus.

Thank you to Helen and Jodi for all that you do preparing and running youth.

This Sunday, at 10am, we welcome Pastor Jodi back on the platform for 2024 sharing her message for Palm Sunday.

Please stay after the service in fellowship. Grain Shed kids are partying to end the term, check-in desk open from 9.40am.

We give a big shout-out to Linde and Francois, who have stepped in over the last year and run an amazing kids program but are now handing the reins over to Pastor Emily.

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1

Mainly Music is on Monday, at 10am, and we have a special Easter end-of-term session planned.

Craft ladies return on Thursday at 10am.
