Self-care for school return

THE return of a new school year can be full of emotions.

There’s excitement for students looking forward to reuniting with friends after the summer break.

For others, starting school for the first time or transitioning to a new school can be a little daunting.

The friendly team at Marraboor Pharmacy can assist with health and wellbeing needs, ensuring a smooth transition back to school.

Marraboor Pharmacy assistant and retail manager Carlee Bullen said it could take some time for students to once again familiarise themselves with their school environment, while re-establishing routines.

She said it was important for families to focus on health and wellbeing as they get back into the swing of things.

“It’s easy to forget about taking care of yourself in the hustle and bustle of everyday life,” Ms Bullen said, while highlighting the importance of self-care.

“Self-care activities can be anything that makes you feel good, while supporting your overall wellbeing,” she said.

With this in mind, Marraboor has a large selection of sunscreen products and insect repellents for all ages, offering protection from harmful UV rays and insect bites, enabling residents to make the most of the warm weather by spending time outdoors.

The start of a school year is also the ideal time to replenish first aid kits and ensure access to any medications students may require, including allergy, asthma and anaphylaxis medications.

Marraboor Pharmacy also provides immunisation services, and can provide high-school students with catch-up vaccines as part of the secondary school immunisation program.

Offering a range of personal care products and toiletries, as well as a range of multivitamins and headlice treatments, Marraboor will ensure your family is ready to take on 2024.

But keep in mind that sleep, stress, and our ability to focus, all play a vital role in overall wellbeing.

That’s why Martin and Pleasance has developed its Rest&Quiet range.

The unique formulas help to calm the mind and relieve symptoms of stress and mild anxiety.

The range upholds the Dr Bach legacy, honouring his teachings and philosophy that “the emotional and mental state of a person, influences their whole health and wellbeing”.

Using a combination blend of Bach flower remedies, the Rest&Quiet range features a focus, calm and sleep formula.

The natural formulas are created to help aid well rested sleep, reduce brain fog, enhance mental clarity and create calm – something we could all utilise heading into a new year.
