After its initial success last year, the Food and Fibre market will return to Tooleybuc on Sunday, January 21 from 9am to 11am at Mensforth Park.
Organiser Laurene McKenzie said that November’s market was a huge success with all stall holders selling out of products.
“The concept around the market is people having grown, produced or made the product that they bring to the market,” Ms McKenzie said.
“It can also be a passion project, we have one guy coming in that sculpts things out of metal.
“So if you have a passion project we also want to see you.
“We will have as many local producers as we can, so that we can showcase all the things we have in the local area.”
It will be an ongoing event on the third Sunday of each month going forward and has been organised to not clash with other markets in the district.
Ms McKenzie added that just doing the market for a couple of hours on a Sunday morning gives families the chance to come out to Tooleybuc and maybe enjoy a picnic in the park by the river.
“They may want to have a meal in the pub, a game of golf or mini golf for the kids,” she said.
“It may take a little while to gain some momentum but it gives people an opportunity to have a morning out in Tooleybuc.”
