Swans strengthen

SWAN Hill have wasted no time strengthening their side after the departure of club stalwart Matt Wade.

Ned McKeown will join the Swans from Northern Football League club Macleod, bringing the versatility to play forward or back.

The son of former Collingwood player, Ron McKeown, he has spent time on the Magpies’ VFL development list.

McKeown developed a close friendship with Swan Jose Miliado during his time in Melbourne.

A familiar face for Central Murray fans will also land at the Swans, with Tom Isma making the switch from Woorinen to Swan Hill.

Isma’s pace and goal-sense will be valuable for the Swans, the club where his football began.

Pertzel joins premiers

REIGNING premiers Kerang have added another piece to their already powerful forward line, signing Jarryd Pertzel.

The former Blue won two flags during his time at Kerang, playing interleague for Central Murray in 2018 before leaving and playing three VFL games for Frankston that same year.

Pertzel’s goalkicking prowess is no secret, kicking 32 goals in the 13 games he played for Merrigum in the Kyabram District Football League last season.

Kennel overhaul

TYNTYNDER have kept themselves busy with a raft of signings as they look to bounce back from a disappointing season.

After Josh Stones’ move to Woorinen, new senior coach Jack O’Rourke has begun shaping his side.

Ned Lay will make the switch from Balranald, having played 17 games for the Roos this year, including a grand final appearance.

Former Bulldog Luke Jones returns to the kennel after plying his trade for Daylesford.

Darcy Woodward is another returning to the club, the former junior having spent a season with Pyramid Hill.

Cameron Cook will be back after injury forced him to miss all of this season and half of the 2022 season.
