Santa is the life of the party

GETTING in the Christmas spirit is what the Tooleybuc Sporting Club’s Community Christmas Party was all about.

The Christmas party, held on Saturday night, was an ideal family event, with children able to enjoy everything from face-painting and ice cream to karaoke and mini golf, and a visit from Santa himself.

Tooleybuc Sporting Club’s Tracey Domaille told The Guardian about 50 to 60 children attended the event.

“There was just people everywhere, it was great,” Ms Domaille said.

“It’s to get people together that they might not have caught up with for a little while, or since footy season had finished.

“So it was just good to get everybody together, get a bit of community spirit happening, and I’m pretty sure everyone had a good time.”

The Christmas cheer is not over in Tooleybuc, with the man in red set to be making another appearance tonight.

Travelling in style on a fire truck, Santa will drive around Tooleybuc homes handing out icy poles and lollies from 6pm, before heading to Mensforth Park.
