Nyah District’s Issy Boulton became just the third female to play SHDCA A grade cricket at the weekend, with the 15-year-old making her debut against Barham-Koondrook on the weekend.
Boulton follows in the footsteps of Emily Edwards, who made her A grade debut for Swan Hill in 2017-18, and RSL cricketer Alana Bookham, who first played one match for the Blues’ A grade side in 2019-20.
Boulton is the first female to have played A grade cricket for the Demons and the 254th A grade cricketer overall for Nyah District.
She was presented with her cap by her father and club legend Ritchie Boulton (pictured).
