MANY from the area know about Malcomb Scougall, aka Scroogs, and his music, which is a mix of well-known covers and original compositions.
Audiences are really enjoying the music the local songwriter is performing.
Performing tonight at the Swan Hill Club, the well-known homegrown performer is not stuck on any one genre of music but plays whatever comes to mind, and the same goes for his song writing.
“I write down whatever comes into my head and a lot of the songs have come out a lot better than I thought they would,” he said.
Scroogs also said he loved playing music and had built a studio in his backyard that would eventually be used to record his music.
Primarily a guitarist and singer, he also dapples in drums and bass guitar.
“I have been pretty busy over the last couple of years, which has been good,” Scroogs said.
“Once I get my new computer and the other equipment I need I will start doing some recording.
“I have a CD out and my music is available on Spotify, You Tube and all the other major platforms.
“The Swan Hill Club is one of my favorite places to gig.
“I love it there.
“The atmosphere and the people who turn up are fantastic.”
