Church Notes

Anglican

THIS past week has been a joy to share worship services with parishioners in Swan Hill, both on Wednesday and Sunday, Ultima on Friday evening and Nyah West on Sunday.

Our monthly boot sale was also held last weekend and, despite the cold, was well supported and enjoyed.

Thank you to all who attend, as well as those who enable it to occur.

Mothers’ Union met on Wednesday after the service and enjoyed Christmas in July, a bright activity in this cold season.

Reminder that on July 30 at 11am, church will be at Lake Charm in the public hall. We will join with Kerang, whom Rev Wayne has been providing ministry to while being our locum.

Rev Wayne will be here for that service and the following weeks.

Lunch will be a bring and share meal.

Transport is available if needed, so please add your name to the list in the foyer if you are attending or would like a ride.

Grain Shed

GRAIN Shed Youth is on tonight at 7pm.

Church service on Sunday is at 10am. All are welcome.

For those with children, Kid’s Ministry sign-in desk opens at 9.45am.

Craft ladies meet meet on Thursday at 10am.

Mainly Music program is having a week off on Monday, returning July 31.

Coming up at Quambatook on August 5 is a Ben Price comedy show.

This is a free event sponsored by the Quambatook Co-operative Church. Starts at 7pm.

Price is an internationally-renowned comedian and one of Australia’s finest impersonators.

He has mastered more than more than 200 voices and written comedy sketches impersonating elite athletes, musicians, politicians and film stars.

On any given day he could be Arnold Schwarzenegger, Donald Trump, Owen Wilson, Homer Simpson or Dr Phil.

An Alpha course begins next month. Contact the Grain Shed church office if you are interested.
