Boga keeps streak going

LAKE Boga remain undefeated in 2023 after beating Woorinen by eight goals on Saturday.

The Magpies started strongly, moving eight goals ahead by the end of the first quarter. While the Tigers put up a good fight, getting within four goals at half time, they couldn’t regain their lost ground from the first quarter.

“We need to ensure that we don’t start as we did – the slow start ended up being the difference at the end of the game,” Tigers playing coach Tayla Bennett said.

“We had opportunities that unfortunately just weren’t converted.

“We will take the positives from the game and address what we need to leading into next week, but we are looking forward to playing them again later in the season.”

The Magpies sit comfortably in top position on the ladder, while the Tigers are in fourth position.

FINAL WHISTLE:

Lake Boga 48

Woorinen 40
