TOOLEYBUC-Manangatang have finally got win on the board for the 2023 season, beating an injury-plagued Cohuna by 13 points.
The Saints got an early jump over the Kangas, getting ahead by three goals at the first break and then by nine goals at half-time. While the Kangas kept fighting throughout the game, it was too little too late.
Saints coach Melanie Wait was super excited over finally getting a win.
“It was a really consistent effort from all the team,” Wait said.
“We made sure we capitalised on any turnovers we had.”
The Kangas now have a tough game ahead, going up against the Mallee Eagles in round 7, and will be eager to get a win. Meanwhile, the Saints will be looking to keep their winning streak alive as they travel to Tyntynder to take on the Dogs in what should be a competitive match.
FINAL WHISTLE:
Tooleybuc-Manang 65
Cohuna 52
