BEVERFORD District Primary School’s youngest students celebrated 100 Days of Prep on Wednesday.
The six Foundation students dressed as cheerful centenarians and enjoyed a day of fun, educational activities with a numeracy focus on the number 100.
Principal Phil Cox said the students have had an excellent start to their schooling.
“They’re in a straight Prep class of six,” Mr Cox said.
“With a highly skilled and enthusiastic teacher, Miss Alfred, who’s done an amazing job helping them transition to school.
“They’ve become confident, independent little learners and are having a wonderful time.”
The 100 Days celebration comes as Beverford gears up for a much bigger occasion; its 100th anniversary, to be held on Sunday, October 26.
“We’re really excited,” Mr Cox said.
“It’ll be a great opportunity for past and present families and staff to reconnect and reminisce.”
As part of the celebration, anyone connected to the school is invited to purchase a personalised paver, which will be laid on-site as a lasting tribute.
Orders are open now and close on September 5, with forms available on the school website or by contacting the school directly.
Enrolments are also open for the 2026 school year, with a strong intake expected and plans to continue offering a straight Prep class.
