THE Swan Hill Market was a hit last weekend, with regular stallholders joining a mix of entertainment options and specialty stall holders.
Market organiser Karen Mott said hot weather and the holidays made for a smaller market, but didn’t dampen enthusiasm.
“Some of our regular stall holders were away on holidays but we had a fantastic mix of entertainers including The Ukelele Band and Time Warp who performed at the rotunda in Riverside Park,” she said.
“We also had Amy O’Connor providing dog training demonstrations with her talented dogs Brie and Skeet.
“Due to the heat, she did have to limit the time they were able to perform tricks, but they are always a huge crowd favourite.
“Amy competes with her dogs in tricks, rally obedience, ANKC Agility, and NADAC Agility.
“She demonstrates how positive game-based training can enrich the connection between dogs and their owners.”
Marketgoers also enjoyed a variety of food and drink options including a barbecue cooked by Sunrise Rotary, coffee, dumplings, donuts and ice cream.
There will be no market in February, but the team will back again on Sunday, March 2, at Riverside Park, Swan Hill.
