TOOLEYBUC Central School Grade 2 student Sarah Nicholls has won the Secretary’s Award for her painting of a Christmas tree.
NSW Head of Education Murat Dizdar said he thought Sarah had created a vibrant artwork through her use of acrylic paints.
Sarah said a Christmas tree was a good subject.
“I thought it would be good because it’s near Christmas and the trees are the most Christmas,” she said.
Sarah’s painting will be included in Mr Didzar’s statewide Christmas card email.
