Coaches tip Magpies

LAKE Boga have been tipped to break their 59 year A grade premiership drought, according to the Central Murray A grade coaches who won’t be competing tomorrow afternoon.

Here’s what they had to say about tomorrow’s grand final.

BALRANALD

Jess Parry

Tip – Swan Hill by three goals

Best on Court – Stevie Bibby (Swan Hill)

I’ve always been a big believer that having the week off before the grand final isn’t ideal, because the team that plays through seems to be the team gets up.

I think Swan Hill, having the full finals run, will be ready to go, whereas Lake Boga’s stop start finals campaign might be a bit hard to come back from.

COHUNA

Georgia Anderson

Tip – Lake Boga by seven goals

Best on Court – Sarah Hepburn (Lake Boga)

There’s a part of me which thinks there could be an upset due to Swan Hill’s finals experience and having to play good and strong netball each week.

However, I’ll go with Boga, both teams are strong in their attack end with dominant shooters, but I think Boga is stronger in its balance across the court.

KERANG

Chloe Adams

Tip – Lake Boga by two goals

Best on Court – Emma Peacock (Lake Boga)

It’s going to be a really tight contest, but I think Lake Boga will get over the line.

I think they’ll have fresh bodies after the week off and will have learnt a lot from their first final against Swan Hill a couple of weeks ago.

They’ll be determined not to have a repeat of last year, and I can’t see them letting it slip again after an undefeated season.

KOONDROOK-BARHAM

Grant Matthews

Tip – Lake Boga by three goals

Best on Court – Emma Peacock (Lake Boga)

If both team’s goalers fire, then it will come down to the team that best capitalises on turnovers efficiently that will win.

It is legitimately a toss of the coin, so I will say Lake Boga.

If Emma Peacock can close down Casey Frame and be constructive on transitional play then they should win.

MALLEE EAGLES

Alicia Harvey

Tip – Lake Boga by four goals

Best on Court – Emma Peacock (Lake Boga)

Swan Hill are an extremely strong side especially come finals with their experience, but it is pretty hard to look past Lake Boga with their undefeated season.

They have arguably the strongest attacking end in the league, which should match up nicely against Stevie Bibby and Swan Hill’s defensive end.

NNW UNITED

Madi Jones

Tip – Lake Boga by three goals

Best on Court – Sarah Hepburn (Lake Boga)

I think Lake Boga will win, but it will be a really evenly contested game. I just feel Lake Boga will be the hungrier team after last year’s result.

TOOLEYBUC-MANANGATANG

Mel Wait

Tip – Lake Boga by two goals

Best on Court – Emma Peacock (Lake Boga)

The verdict is out on who will bring home the premiership for me this year, both teams have the ability to win the game and it will depend on how the goal rings settle.

TYNTYNDER

Kelsey Rowe

Tip – Swan Hill by five goals

Best on Court – Stevie Bibby (Swan Hill)

I think momentum is swinging with an experienced side after a fabulous performance last weekend, and Swan Hill’s connection right down the court will get them over the line.
