Programs consistent as seasons change

Anglican

THERE has been great rejoicing in our Parish this week as we have announced the name of our new Rrector.

Rev Julie Worrall will begin ministry with us here early August. She and her husband are coming to us from Adelaide. Full details are on display in the Swan Hill church foyer.

We had another enjoyable Saturday boot sale and Thursday men’s coffee gathering. All men welcome at 128 Doors at 10.30am.

Wednesday saw the hall decorated with old teacups, doyleys and embroidered aprons for a Biggest Morning Tea. It truly was a wonderful sight.

Money raised will go to support cancer projects.

As I write this, we anticipate a great time for all, with quizzes, competitions and talks, ably led by Helen Dorning, a cancer survivor extraordinaire.

Thank you to all who have supported this event in any way.

Grain Shed

CHANGE is all around us in the sights, smells, sounds and feel of each day as autumn slowly fades away and winter approaches in our part of the world.

The days are shortening and the nights are lengthening but that doesn’t prevent our Grain Shed programs operating as normal.

This Friday night at the Grain Shed our Grain Shed Youth meet, 7pm-9pm.

Grain Shed Youth is open to all secondary-school-age children.

For more information, contact youth@thegrainshed.org.au.

This Sunday, at 10am, Pastor Jodi will be continuing the Pray First series with a not-to-be-missed heart-breaking prayer message.

If you are unable to attend or would like to hear any of our Sunday messages again, you can listen to the podcasts on our website, www.thegrainshed.org.au.

Just click on “Sermons” and choose.

Grain Shed Kids onsite is in full swing for all children aged from three to 12 years.

The check-in desk is open from 9.45am.

The Mainly Music program will be operating on Monday, 10am-11.30am.

Last week we had 13 families join Jessie and the team for a fun time of singing, dancing and rhymes followed by some morning tea and playtime.

If you would like to know how to register for this program, contact reception@thegrainshed.org.au.

On Thursday, at 10am, the craft ladies will be working hard on their craft projects while enjoying a cuppa and a chat.

If you would like to know more about any of our activities, email reception@thegrainshed.org.au.
