Grain Shed

SUNDAY 10am, come along, invite a friend or family member and join our Sunday service. Grain Shed Kids check-in desk is open from 9.45am.

Pastor Emily continues in the series called “Pray First”. Throughout this series, the power of prayer will be explored, topics such as praying first, bold prayers, speaking with God and the transformative impact prayer can have on our lives.

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

Mainly Music is on Monday at 10am. A wonderful interactive music session for newborns through to preschool with Mum, Dad, a grandparent or carer followed by morning tea and playtime. Cost $5 per family.

Thursday 10am craft ladies meet, ready for a chat with their craft projects and a coffee.

Our Hampers of Hope are still going strong. The demand for relief food has been constant throughout the year so far, with both individuals as well as service providers requesting the hampers.

The hampers help provide immediate assistance for the need of basic items required for living. This is done through the provision of non-perishable food and toiletry hampers for the vulnerable and those in urgent need in the community.

Some of our main areas of focus have been domestic violence victims, unemployed people, low socioeconomic groups and Indigenous communities.

If you’d like to help support this project, donations can be made to: Careworks Community Funds, BSB: 703-810, ACC: 0530-0526

MEN’S Morning Tea will begin on Thursday next week at 10.30am at One28 Doors. All are welcome to this informal get-together.

Our Biggest Morning Tea event will be held in our hall on May 22. All are again welcome. Details later.

We recently had a very successful boot sale, with many people calling for a buy and a chat at both sites. The ongoing working bees are clearing many of the maintenance tasks at our various properties.

For example, Anglicare’s rear decking particularly looks great. Thank you for your support at these events.

Our Op Shop at Nyah West is having an early winter sale from Monday until the week of Mother’s Day. Plenty to choose from and the great volunteers are continually unpacking many items.

Come and fill one of our bags for the bargain price of $6. This and the Men’s Shed are open Mondays and Wednesdays.
