Saturday Pennant has a break over Christmas and will resume on January 15, with the Midweek Pennant resuming on January 11.

The Champion of Champions singles is the next major event which will be played at Swan Hill on Saturday January 8 and Sunday January 9.

The Novice Singles for the Murray Valley Playing Area will be held on January 16, with entries closing on Monday January 10.

CONGRATULATIONS to our two club champions in Diane Millstead who defeated Heather Smith and Vic Plumridge who defeated Brian Mansbridge 25-22 in an excellent display of the game of bowls.

Diane and Vic will be representing our club in the Champion of Champions at our club on January 8 and 9.

Our Christmas party last Saturday night was a great night with lots of good food, raffles and fun, Santa made an appearance and charmed us all with his good cheer, jokes and gifts.

The draws have been finalised for the men’s club pairs, 100 up and B Grade singles so they can now be played.

Single or team entries for our A/C Triples New Years Night Tournament can be submitted to Bill King on 0428324083 or to the club house on 5032 1772, it is set for a 5:30pm start with a light supper after bowls.

LAKE Boga bowlers and family held their Christmas Party on Saturday night with a great night enjoyed by all.

Lucky Christmas draw winners were Dudley Knight, Les Grey, Lyn Maher, Matt Taverna, Faye Atkinson, Trisha McMahan, Terry Haw, Ian Vernon, Noel Hender, Ian Ross, Kathy Clifford, Archie Wickham, Robyn Jolly, Max Lord and Ivan Decker.

Wednesday December 15 winners were Grant Davies, Max Parsons and Mary Lynas, and Wednesday December 22 winners being Jeannie Leach, Les Grey and Greg Clifford.

Runners-up were Sarah Harris, Keith Anderson, Richard Bruton and Shirley Swan, and Eric Butcher Nola Bruton and Terry Haw.

Ladies’ semi-finals for the club singles were played this week with Lisa Critton defeating Shirley Swan and Janet Hamill defeating Judy Wilson, the Ladies Final will be contested between Lisa and Janet with a date still to be announced.

The Men’s semi-finals are set with Ray Wilson versing Rodney Wickham and Peter Phelp versing Les Barnes – good luck to all.

Lake Boga Bowls are holding a Christmas/New Year Twilight 3 Bowl Pairs on Monday December 27, with a 5:30pm start time, and a barbecue tea provided from 5pm.

Entries are to be submitted to Rod Wickham on 0447382007 or Ken Hamill on 0408591256. Entries are $15 per person.

The tournament is sponsored by Lakeside Wanderers with prizemoney on offer to the value of $300 and a casual dress code for the event.
