SWAN HILL

Congratulations to Swan Hill Bowls Saturday and Midweek Division One Pennant teams on finishing in the top four, to earn the right to play in finals which begin tomorrow and Tuesday.

Last Saturday, Swan Hill completed the home and away series as winners against the highly competitive side of Lake Boga.

They will meet Moulamein in the 1st semi-final tomorrow, to be played at Racecourse Bowls, Swan Hill and Moulamein always have a good contest and both will be striving to make it into the preliminary final next week.

Division two travelled to Manangatang last week, winning two of the three rinks, but still couldn’t get over the line for a win, thus their season ended as it began.

Unfortunately our Division three were unable to field a side, resulting in a forfeit to Racecourse three.

Midweek Division 1 maintained second position, even though they had a loss on Tuesday to Murray Downs 1, Swan Hill Division 1 play top of the ladder leaders, Lake Boga at Swan Hill Bowls Club this Tuesday in the 2nd semi-final.

The Midweek Division 2 team finished the season on a high after recording their 3rd win in a row, leaving their run too late to be finals contenders.

We wish all bowlers in Pennant finals, good bowling and friendly, enjoyable contests.

The selectors thank all players who have committed their time and the challenge to playing pennant, sometimes under difficult circumstances, to those not playing in finals, come along and support your fellow club members.

Names to be in by 2:30pm for a 3pm start for Friday Frolic today, a good chance to have some finals practice and try to crack the jackpot!

All welcome to enjoy an hour of bowls, nibbles, friendly company and take part in the raffles, there is some good prizes to be won.
